Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' is a thick-leaved aroid vine with smooth, glossy foliage in milky green to silvery green tones. The leaves are entire and softly reflective, with a continuous silvery surface.

This Scindapsus treubii cultivar grows from trailing, vining or climbing stems. Indoors it can hang from a pot, climb a small pole or grow horizontally along the pot edge.

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' silvery leaf profile

  • Plant type: Tropical aroid vine.
  • Family: Araceae.
  • Species background: Scindapsus treubii is native to Peninsula Malaysia, north-western Borneo and Java.
  • Leaf shape: Simple, heart-shaped to oval leaves with entire margins.
  • Leaf texture: Thick, smooth and glossy.
  • Colour: Milky green to silvery green, with a soft sheen on the upper leaf surface.
  • Growth habit: Trailing, climbing or spreading horizontally from the pot.

Container growth for Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight'

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' grows from vining stems that can be left to trail or guided onto a support. A pole can help the plant climb, while a hanging pot highlights the thick leaves as they overlap along the vine.

The glossy leaves show stress when roots stay wet for too long, so watering should follow the condition of the substrate rather than a fixed calendar. An open mix gives the thicker roots oxygen after each watering.

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' care indoors

  • Light: Bright indirect or filtered light keeps internodes shorter and reduces scorch risk.
  • Watering: Water when the mix is half dry to almost dry, then let excess water drain away.
  • Humidity: Moderate to higher humidity helps thick new leaves unfold smoothly.
  • Temperature: Keep warm and stable, around 18–24 °C or slightly higher.
  • Substrate: Use a well-drained aroid mix with bark, perlite, coco chips or pumice.
  • Pot choice: Drainage holes are important; a small support can guide climbing stems.
  • Feeding: Feed lightly during active growth and pause after repotting until roots settle.
  • Semi-hydroponics: Pon or similar mineral media can be used after transition, with a low reservoir at first.
  • Pruning: Cut above nodes to shorten vines or propagate healthy sections.

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' issues to catch early

  • Yellow leaves: Often point to wet roots or a dense mix drying too slowly.
  • Soft stems: Can follow overwatering and poor oxygen around the roots.
  • Brown leaf marks: Direct sun can scorch the glossy surface.
  • Leaf curl: Dry roots, heat or root damage can stop leaves from sitting flat.
  • Pests: Watch for mealybugs, aphids and spider mites around nodes and leaf backs.

Safety for Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight'

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' contains calcium oxalate crystals and is toxic if ingested. Keep it away from pets and children; chewing can irritate the mouth and throat and may cause drooling, swelling or vomiting.

Botanical background for Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight'

Scindapsus treubii is an accepted Araceae species first published by Adolf Engler in 1898. The species has thick, entire leaves and a climbing or trailing habit in warm tropical conditions.

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' carries its silvery-green leaves along trailing stems, support-guided vines or a shelf edge.

they are indestructible
Color: Real Bacon&Beef
these chews can definitely stand up to an aggressive chewer. they are extremely hard and will probably last for months, maybe a year or more. but because they are so indestructible, they are the last of the chew toys that my pitbull will go for. i appreciate that he will sometimes tackle one for a while. he prefers the hardest rubber kong-type chew toys. they are not indestructible, but it takes a while for him to wear them down and destroy them. i will probably not buy these indestructible chews again (bought 2-3 packages already), but if you have a big headed dog with lots of really strong teeth and jaws like a vice, they might be right for your pet.

My dog loves them
Color: Real Bacon&Beef, Color: Real Bacon&Beef
Got yesterday, and my dog already did some damage to them; however it isn't enough damage to make the toys unsafe and unusable. So far they have lasted longer than any of her other toys (a full 24 hours already). So when the time comes that she needs some new toys, we are definitely going to be purchasing these again, she loves them.

These are adorable
Color: Coffe Wood, Color: Coffe Wood
This little frozen treat kit is absolutely adorable. I found 3 different colors for my 3 dogs, so I can tell who got theirs stolen. First, the kit itself is a 5 star. The little skull, the brain mold, absolutely adorable. Second, as with a lot of other reviews, what is up with the rope? I had hoped there was a cover for that part of the skull heads when I bought them, then I double checked the reviews and could have had a V8. 🤦🏼‍♀️ the good news is that once you get the rope off you can replace it with something more washable, if you choose. Rope is a 2 to 3 star. Third, my dogs don't like these ones as much, that's why the 3 stars. They've tried out 3 different kinds, with a 4th one coming this week. This was their 3rd favorite. They like the ability to carry it by the rope. Getting to the treat through the hole in the bottom isn't "hard", but the skull is tilted on the side, which is exactly what you want to keep your dog entertained, but two of my dogs didn't want to deal with it unless I held it for them. 😒 Dramatic. Fourth, and finally, I am keeping them. I will probably not put frozen treats in them again, and use it for dry treats or something. So, 3 to 4 stars since I probably won't be able to use the mold for these unless the dogs get used to them. These little skills have more of a rubber texture to them, making them not really hard plastic, and seemingly more durable. The top, so far, is easy to take off, if you don't have wet hands. There's little divets in the top to help you screw and unscrew thw top. Be careful not to screw it on too tight or too loose. I would take it away from my dogs as soon as I notice they are done with their treats, as I would with dirty dishes. It isn't a toy-toy, more like a treat dispenser.
