(Yes, you place these tall tubes over small seedlings that are 6 to 24 inches tall. They are not wraps to protect the bark of larger trees.) Vigilis Tree Tubes benefit your tree seedlings several ways:

Vigilis Tree Tubes have all the features you’d expect in a premium grade tree tube:
- Twin-wall corrugated construction for strength with perforated holes for the top two-thirds of the tube. The ventilated top half (certain versions) acclimates the tree to potential harsh winds and the environment which aids trunk and root development
- Ventalation is not needed for the mid Atlantic where the temperature doesn't get too hot or too cold
- UV stabilized for years of protection, until your seedlings become healthy young trees that can make it on their own
- Laser perforation line, so the tree tube will split and expand as your trees grow
- Flared rim to prevent bark abrasion to emerging trees
- Pre-threaded zip ties to fasten to the stake (not included, see recommendations below)
Vigilis Tree Tubes protect your seedlings from rodents, rabbits, and deer until the seedlings emerge from the top of the tubes.
Vented Tree Tubes feature ventilation holes for better air circulation, allowing seedings to harden off for winter more effectively in cold climates. Ventilation has also proven to be better for conifer seedlings.
