ceramic plant pot with handles Squat Green Plant Pot with Handles – Twinette PoterieThis squat pot is made using a buff stoneware with the pinch and coil technique. Various green glazes are brushed on, finished with a coat of clear glaze to melt all together. It seems a bit cliche, but this pot just feels old to me, like it has a story to tell. The piece is built from the bottom up coil by coil. The outside of the piece is rippled, the effect of my thumb joining each coil to the one beneath it. On the inside of the pot, you can see
This squat pot is made using a buff stoneware with the pinch and coil technique. Various green glazes are brushed on, finished with a coat of clear glaze to melt all together. It seems a bit cliche, but this pot just feels old to me, like it has a story to tell.
The piece is built from the bottom up- coil by coil. The outside of the piece is rippled, the effect of my thumb joining each coil to the one beneath it. On the inside of the pot, you can see the demarcation lines between each coil as the piece was constructed.
Each piece is unique and one of a kind.
