Calatheas are a highly-desired plant group for collectors and excited plant parents. They can be fussy, but they are SO worth it! There are lots of varieties of calathea, and they are all stunning. You'll get the best options around in this set, and they'll get you completely hooked. 

Marantas - or prayer plants - are awesome, and a really fun plant to have. They are a genus who are native to Central and South America. Marantas are true prayer plants because they perform nyctinasty; a response to nighttime where the leaves fold up. This is the major difference between the two plants, as Calathea does not have that reaction. Marantas do awesome in desktop or shelf-plants, but they can also do hanging plant as you desire!  

Calathea’s leaves are pleated and ovate or oval shaped and sometimes lance-shaped like the ‘Rattle Snake’ plant. Manrantas usually have more rounded leaves.

They are both part of the arrowroot family. Both of these plant groups have a reputation as being a bit fussy, but once they are established and happy in a corner of the home, just leave them alone and they will reward you with plenty of pretty foliage. They like moderate light and to dry somewhat between waterings. They never want to be swampy, but they DO love humidity. 

All 3 plants will come in white ceramic pots!
