Aglaonema Light of Diamond: A Luminous Indoor Jewel

Aglaonema Light of Diamond is a stunning, highly sought-after variety of Aglaonema, known for its brilliant green, silver, and cream variegation. This resilient and adaptable plant is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to homes or offices.

Why Aglaonema Light of Diamond is a Standout

  • Shimmering Foliage: The light green and silver patterns on its leaves give it a bright, radiant effect, adding instant sophistication.
  • Hardy & Low Maintenance: This plant is highly tolerant of low light, making it perfect for beginners or busy plant parents.
  • Air-Purifying Qualities: Like other Aglaonema varieties, it helps filter toxins from indoor air, promoting a healthier environment.

Where Does Aglaonema Light of Diamond Originate?

  • Native Habitat: Found in the humid, tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
  • Shade-Loving Plant: Naturally thrives in low-light conditions, often growing beneath dense tree canopies.

Growth Characteristics & Root Behavior

  • Compact & Bushy Growth: Unlike climbing aroids, Aglaonema remains low and dense, making it perfect for desktops or tabletops.
  • Robust Root System: Develops thick, fibrous roots that store moisture, allowing it to withstand brief dry periods.

Care Guide for Aglaonema Light of Diamond

 Light Preferences

  • Thrives in low to medium indirect light but can tolerate fluorescent lighting, making it ideal for offices and shaded rooms.
  • Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering Needs

  • Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil is dry.
  • Prefers distilled or filtered water to prevent leaf spotting.

Temperature & Humidity

Soil & Potting Mix

  • Prefers a well-draining, organic mix:
    • 50% peat moss or coco coir
    • 20% perlite
    • 20% orchid bark
    • 10% worm castings for nutrients

Why You’ll Love Aglaonema Light of Diamond

  • Perfect for indoor spaces due to its adaptability.
  • Elegant and unique with its variegated, shimmering leaves.
  • Low-maintenance & air-purifying, making it a great starter plant.

Our dogs hurt their mouths chewing these bones
Color: Purple & Blue
I don't do a lot of reviews because I realize many are objective opinions. However, in this case I felt it was necessary to warn others. Our dogs are aggressive chewers. Their last rubber bones (not these) which we've purchased before, and recently purchased again, were destroyed quickly. Chunks of rubber came off the ends. Since those didn't hold up like they used to, I found these harder bones hoping they would last longer. They were able to gnaw into the hard plastic within a few minutes. This created sharp edges that cut their mouths. When I saw a bit of blood on the bones, I took them away from the dogs and threw them away. I wondered why they quit chewing on them after being so excited at first. Also, these are hard enough to damage a tooth.
